The Centre for Arts, Development and Advocacy (CARDEA) believes that everyone deserves equal access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, free from discrimination and violence. We work towards a Malawi where gender and social barriers don’t hold individuals back from making informed choices about their bodies and lives.
Our focus areas:
- Eliminating Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV): We empower individuals and communities to prevent and respond to SGBV in workplaces, humanitarian settings, and emergency situations. We advocate for stronger policies and support systems for survivors.
- Women’s Economic Empowerment: We create opportunities for women to access economic resources and achieve financial independence, leading to improved SRH knowledge and decision-making power.
- Community Engagement and Capacity Building: We work with community leaders, educators, and healthcare providers to increase awareness of SRH rights and ensure inclusive access to services for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or social status.
How you can be a part of the change:
- Donate: Your support fuels our initiatives to create a safer, more equitable Malawi.
- Volunteer: Share your skills and knowledge to empower communities and advocate for change.
- Raise awareness: Talk to your friends, family, and network about the importance of gender equality and SRH rights.
- Connect with us: Stay informed about our work and join the movement for a just and healthy Malawi.
Together, we can build a future where everyone has the right to control their bodies, make informed choices, and live free from discrimination. Let’s create a Malawi where gender and social inclusion are not just words, but a lived reality.
